Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP is how we understand and utilise human communication, behaviour and experiences to achieve a specific outcome. NLP was created by Richard Bandler (a mathematician) and John Grinder (a linguist).
Bandler and Grinder modelled the language, physiology and mental processes of outstanding therapists Fritz Perls (Gestalt therapy), Virginia Satir (Family therapy) and Dr. Milton Erickson (world-renowned psychotherapist and hypnotherapist) along with other world famous people who consistently produced outstanding results. These models of excellence provided the basis of the patterns of excellence that can be explicitly taught as NLP.
Neuro Linguistic Programming has since evolved, not only into an incredibly powerful set of techniques for achieving human excellence in both business and personal development, but also as a philosophy and attitude that is essential for anyone whose goal is one of excellence.
